One of the biggest and most important assets of HYPE is our membership of over 4,000 young professionals that grows each day. The Social Ambassadors Committee was formed to help continue that growth by elevating HYPE’s visibility and telling the story about the great work our organization is doing. This committee is a great fit for current members who are passionate about our mission and enjoy recruiting new people to HYPE and keeping current members active and excited.
The Social Ambassadors Committee is launching in 2019 as a combination of two formerly separate committees, Social Events and Ambassadors. The important work of both of these committees has become increasingly aligned over the years, so merging them together will increase both efficiency and impact. This newly formed committee will create an even stronger platform for its participants to grow, diversify, and engage HYPE’s membership.
This group is tasked with planning our monthly Get HYPEd networking events and other experiences that support arts, culture, and entertainment in the region. They also focus on strengthening connections with MetroHartford Alliance Leadership Investors and Strategic Partners through The HYPEr Link Program, spreading the word about HYPE in these companies and organizations to engage both new employees as well as current HYPEsters.
The Social Ambassadors Committee is looking for people who enjoy everything that HYPE has to offer, want to help get others to join, and keep current members enthusiastic and involved. We meet monthly in person or via conference call, and communicate by email and Basecamp (a project management tool) when needed.
