Industry/Job Title: F135 Maintenance Manager

What she does: I manage the F135 engine maintenance of the assets in the field. I am in charge of the sustainment and logistics for the propulsion systems, in order to maintain the readiness of the F135 fleet. I was in a rotational program at Pratt & Whitney right out of school and then moved into fleet management for F117 program, and then recently took this position on the F135 program. I have a Bachelors and Masters in Mechanical Engineering, a Masters in Operation Management and an MBA.

Future Aspirations:
In my career, I would like to continue to work in fleet program management, learning the various portions of the sustainment business, and eventually move to a program manager position. I would also like to continue to grow as an athlete and continue to improve and challenge myself to participate in longer or more difficult races. In the community, I want to continue to volunteer with the triathlon group I have been working with for the past several years, in addition to becoming more active in the Community Involvement Committee for HYPE.

Fun Facts about Beth: I am an active person and participate in a variety of races including 200 mile running relays, triathlons, obstacle races, open water swimming, half marathons, duathlons, 10ks and several 5ks each year. So far this year I have completed 17 races and have 7 more races that are scheduled for the rest of 2014. I also dance at a studio performing hip hop, tap, and broadway dance styles. In addition, I try and play golf, emphasis on trying because I'm not very good.
