Each summer, the Travelers Championship, Connecticut’s legendary PGA TOUR event, brings Connecticut residents an opportunity to be part of the action at an exciting professional sporting event, while giving back to the community at the same time, as 100% of net proceeds of the tournament are contributed to local charities. This year, you can get into the spirit of the Travelers Championship by participating in the BlumShapiro 5K for Camp Courant at the Travelers Championship!
The event will be held along the Cromwell roads that line the fairways and greens of
TPC River Highlands and the spectacular practice facility. When the race
is done, you can keep the action going! All participants will be given
one ticket valid for any one day admission to the 2012 Travelers
To register for the event, visit the BlumShapiro 5K for Camp Courant at the Travelers Championship website and then follow the easy three step process:
1. ‘Register’ as an individual for the 5K. (Registration is via the Hartford Marathon Foundation.)
2. Return to the 5K website and click ‘Create a Fundraising Team’. (The template allows you to name your team, add copy, upload photos, etc.)
3. After about 6 hours, return to the 5K site, click ‘donate now’ then ‘search team’ to see your Team page. (From there you can send e-mails with your link to others to tell them about your efforts for Camp!)
