On Saturday, October 24 join me for the AIDS Walk/Run 2015 as I walk in support of AIDS Connecticut, a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of people impacted by HIV through care and supportive services, housing, advocacy and prevention. The event will take place at the MDC Reservoir, West Hartford with registrations beginning at 9:00am and the race beginning at 10:00am. I will be walking alongside family, friends and coworkers to support the work done by this organization, as their mission holds a place in my heart.
I walk to fight the stigma associated with HIV infection, to advocate on behalf of all people living with HIV/AIDS, and to honor my mother who passed away over four years ago.
What will you walk for?
Participants will enjoy music, beverages, snacks, awards for top fundraisers, and awards for top finishers in the 3.5 Mile Run. Attend the event in costume for our "Halloween Parade" (optional). All participants are encouraged to register online
prior to the event.
