HYPE's ninth annual Tee it Up for Charity at the Travelers Championship on Thursday, August 4th was a great success! This signature charity bash located in the Pro-Am Tent at the TPC River Highlands raised money for three beneficiaries: The First Tee of Connecticut, Junior Achievement of Southwest New England, and Hartford’s Camp Courant. Everyone enjoyed the music, delicious food, and abundant sunshine and helped us raise over $11,000 for these fantastic organizations!
Beyond simply attending the event, everyone gave incredible support to the beneficiaries by bidding on the silent auction items and participating in the Drive, Chip, and Putt golf tournament, new to the event this year. The beautiful weather made for a great time on The First Tee practice course, as attendees competed for prizes in each category, chatted with students of The First Tee, and even got a few pointers from these incredibly talented youth. Congrats to Jay Arcata for winning the Drive competition and to Justin Albert for winning both the Chip and Putt competitions!
A very special thank you to the Travelers Championship for their continued support of this event! It simply wouldn't be possible without their enthusiasm for bringing young professionals to the tournament.
We'd also like to thank Allegra Anderson Photography for the amazing photos, My Life Your Entertainment DJ for the great music, Powerstation Events for helping with the AV setup, Aramark for the delicious food, NoRA Cupcake for the incredible dessert display, Hartford Flavor Company for the tastings, and our beverage sponsor Budweiser. One last thank you to Salute for hosting another fantastic after party!
The biggest thank you goes to the HYPE Community Involvement Committee Members for all their help making this event such a success! From gathering silent auction items to volunteering at registration, our staff is so grateful for their support! We couldn’t do it without you!
