On Saturday May 12th, Harc’s 14th annual Harc at the Park Family Walk & Roll will be taking place at Dunkin Donuts Park. Harc is a community based nonprofit organization that has been serving people with intellectual disabilities since 1951. Currently Harc supports more than 2,200 families and individuals in the Greater Hartford area.
Come join us to learn more about the organization, while getting to experience the #1 Minor League Baseball stadium in the country from the field! The Walk will consist of a number of different carnival games, bounce house, face painters, dunk tank (yes you can dunk me for a donation) and a raffle!
I have been involved with the organization for many years, and my family has been involved since Harc’s formative years in the early 50’s. I began as a volunteer, eventually transitioning to an event chair position for the walk. In 2016, I was named to the Board of Directors and I couldn’t be more excited to represent such an incredible life changing organization, after all it is a family tradition.
If you are interested in having a phenomenal time and seeing how Harc is changing lives and changing minds to provide quality, dignity, and inclusion to those with intellectual disability, then dust off your walking shoes and come to Dunkin Donuts Park on May 12th
at 10 am! If you are unable to join, but would like to donate to my team
Jane’s Knights, no donation is too small. Hope to see you there!
