For the June 2018 edition of "Entrepreneurs Heart Greater Hartford," we spoke with Johnny Bello, Founder of 360 Properties.
Tell us about your business.
We provide our customers with the most immersive approach to viewing a property online. We service many different industries such as entertainment, retail, event spaces, transportation, residential and commercial real estate. Our properties can be viewed from any device whether it be on a tablet, smartphone, desktop, or on a pair of virtual goggles!
Why did you decide to start your business in Greater Hartford?
Since I grew up in Greater Hartford, it was an easy choice for me. I have a solid network here in Hartford and have many opportunities to expand into New York, Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Being in the center of all three major cities provides a huge advantage for expansion.
How does your business impact the community?
Our goal is to promote and bring awareness to local companies. By providing others with this innovative “inside perspective”, we hope to incentivize a visit or sale of a service and/or product. We are building a virtual community here in Greater Hartford, one property at a time
What words of wisdom would you give to an aspiring entrepreneur who may be hesitant to take the plunge into entrepreneurship?
Definitely immerse yourself in the community and in the industry you are targeting. Also, you either can win or learn; by staying positive and learning from your mistakes, you can never lose.
What is it like being an entrepreneur in Greater Hartford? What difficulties or challenges have you faced?
Since I started 360 Properties, I’ve become very involved in the community and it feels great. I’ve met so many inspiring people and organizations that I never knew of before. Many have a misunderstanding of Hartford, but when you get to truly know the people and places of Hartford, you quickly realize how beautiful of a city it is.
I am a person who tends to bite off more than I can chew, so I would say trying to focus on one industry at a time has been the biggest challenge. There are so many opportunities for virtual tours in Greater Hartford and i want to talk to everyone, but the smarter strategy is to focus on one specific market and go all out.
What is your vision for your business venture over the next five years?
We hope to make Hartford one of the first virtual cities in the world. After, we want to expand 360 Properties into various locations across New England and New York. We are building a virtual world, one property at a time.

This blog series, posted in partnership between HYPE and reSET, offers a platform to showcase the commitment that the Greater Hartford Region Entrepreneurs have for their work and this City. It will examine how young entrepreneurs have chosen their work, and give examples of the ways in which they are having an impact in their communities.
