HYPE's 11th annual Tee it Up for Charity at the Travelers Championship on Thursday, June 21st was a great success! This signature charity bash located in the Pro-Am Tent at the TPC River Highlands raised money for three beneficiaries: The First Tee of Connecticut, Junior Achievement of Southwest New England, and The Village for Families and Children. Everyone enjoyed the music, delicious food, and beautiful weather and helped us raise over $11,300 for these incredible organizations!
Beyond simply attending the event, attendees gave amazing support to the beneficiaries by bidding on the silent auction items and participating in the Drive, Chip, and Putt competition. The great weather made for a wonderful time on The First Tee practice course, as attendees competed for prizes in each category. Thank you to the incredibly talented First Tee Youth for volunteering at each hole! Professional golfer Doug Ghim even stopped by chat about his first tournament experiences as a pro and take some photos with guests. Congrats to our Drive winner Ryan Keating, Chip winner Brian Lazo, and Putt winner Lindsay Pettinicchi!
A very special thank you to the Travelers Championship for their continued support of this event! It simply wouldn't be possible without their enthusiasm for bringing young professionals to the tournament. Thank you for all that you do to make this event such as success every year, we look forward to our continued partnership!
We'd also like to thank Allegra Anderson Photography for the amazing photos and capturing all of the fun! Thank you to Powerstation Events for the AV setup, Levy for the delicious food, My Life Your Entertainment DJ for the great music, and to Light Painting Portraits for the incredible photo booth! One last thank you to Salute for hosting another fantastic after party!
The biggest thank you goes to the HYPE Community Involvement Committee members, led by Vice Chair Lisa Pawlik, and our entire Executive Committee team for all their help making this event such a success! From gathering silent auction items in the weeks leading up to the event, to volunteering at registration and silent auction check out, our staff is so grateful for their support! We couldn’t do it without you!
Since 2010, Tee it Up has raised over $111,500 for local charities. With last night's efforts, our total raised is now over $123,000! Thank you to all who attended this years event and to all who have contributed over the years. Your incredible generosity continues to help us raise money for local charities, and we cannot thank you enough. Check out all of the photos from the event on Facebook!
