United Way of Central and Northeastern Connecticut has been a proud supporter of Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) since 2003, and MyFreeTaxes since 2008.
In 2018, more than 500 volunteers helped 12,267 taxpayers in United Way’s 40-town region receive $28 million in refunds and credits through VITA and MyFreeTaxes.com.
Funding free tax preparation services is one way United Way and its partners help working families become financially secure. If you qualify, there are two ways to file your taxes fast and free.
