Thanks for Making the 12th Annual Tee it Up for Charity a Success!

Jun 21, 2019

Thanks to all who made HYPE's 12th annual Tee it Up for Charity at the Travelers Championship on Thursday, June 20th a great success! This signature charity bash was hosted in the beautiful First Tee facilities this year, and luck was on our side as it stopped raining just in time to start the Drive, Chip, and Putt competition and enjoy the warm weather on the veranda. Everyone enjoyed the music, delicious food, and silent auction to help us raise just over $10,000 for our beneficiaries Junior Achievement of Southwest New England and The First Tee Connecticut!Hype_Tee_it_Up_2019_1

Professional golfer Boo Weekley stopped by to chat about his tournament experiences and take some photos with guests on the First tee practice course, while attendees competed in the optional Drive Chip and Putt contest. Thank you to the talented First Tee youth for volunteering at each hole! Congrats to our Drive winners Phil Blonski and Ryan Friedman who tied, our Chip winner Nicholas Martinez, and our Putt winner Aaron Martineau!

A very special thank you to the Travelers Championship for their continued support of this event! It simply wouldn't be possible without their enthusiasm for bringing young professionals to the tournament. Thank you for all that you do to make this event such as success every year, we look forward to our continued partnership!

We'd also like to thank Allegra Anderson Photography for the amazing photos and capturing all of the fun! Thank you to Powerstation Events for the AV setup, Levy for the delicious food, My Life Your Entertainment DJ for the great music, and to After Hours Photo Booth for an amazing photo booth! One last thank you to Salute for hosting another fantastic afterHype_Tee_it_Up_2019_59 party!

The biggest thank you goes to the HYPE Executive Team, led by HYPE Chair Amanda Trothier, for all their help making this event such a success! From gathering silent auction items in the weeks leading up to the event, to volunteering, our staff is so grateful for their support! We couldn’t do it without you! Thank you to the Community Involvement Committee members, led by Vice Chair Greg Calnen, for all of your support in volunteering before the Tournament!

Since 2010, Tee it Up has raised over $123,00 for local charities. With last night's efforts, our total raised is now over $133,000! Thank you to all who attended and volunteered, and to all who have contributed over the years. Your incredible generosity continues to help us raise money for local charities and make the Tee it Up event a success. Check out all of the photos from the event on Facebook!
