In 2012 Small Business Night Out (SBNO) was established with the intention to acknowledge the work of small business owners while connecting them to the community. In 2013, an event was created that specifically recognized black business owners and black business leaders in honor of Black History Month. Seven years later, this black-tie event has remained the biggest SBNO event of the year! Past keynote speakers have included actor and activist Malik Yoba, J Alexander Martin co-owner of Fubu, and Miko Branch owner of Miss Jessie’s.
The 7th Annual Black Business Gala will be held on Saturday, February 29th at Marquee Events (960 Main St., Hartford)!
This year's honorees are:
Alisa Bowens-Mercado, Rhythm Brewing Co. and Alisa's House of Salsa
